Job Description:

The Asset Manager will strategically oversee whole loans and MSR positions, coordinating with third-party servicers to execute strategies. This role emphasizes adept management of internal and external relationships, requiring experience in mortgage industry functions like loan servicing, loss mitigation, foreclosure management, and REOs. It involves extensive interaction with internal teams such as the trading desk, legal, compliance, contract finance, as well as external stakeholders including sub-servicers and vendors.Primary Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with the trading desk to optimize performance, develop portfolio strategy, manage tail positions, and establish loss mitigation programs.Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for sub-servicers.Oversee day-to-day management of the loan portfolio, encompassing aspects such as loan performance and targets.Review and approve all asset-level decisions pertaining to loss mitigation, repairs, foreclosure bids, and REOs.Manage assets within the foreclosure timeline management process on a daily basis, ensuring optimal performance by servicers and foreclosure attorneys.Conduct monthly assessments of sub-servicers' performance.Conduct on-site visits to servicers to assess results, hold meetings with operational teams, and provide recommendations for performance enhancement.Review all litigated and high-risk assets, collaborating with internal and external counsel to resolve issues.Collaborate with the Analytics team and servicers to develop and prioritize reports aimed at managing the overall portfolio, assessing performance, and identifying areas of concern.Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with a focus on loan servicing, loss mitigation, foreclosure, and overall asset management of residential loans.Advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to navigate varied systems.Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with keen attention to detail.Bachelor's Degree preferred.Travel required: 10-25%.
