Location: Newnan, GeorgiaRole Summary:The Accounts Payable Lead will be a key financial partner for the Controller and various departments throughout the organization. The Accounts Payable Lead will be responsible for company-wide Accounts Payable activities and will play a critical, hands-on role in building a strong Accounts Payable function. This position analyzes the invoice flow and associated approvals for accuracy, ensures timely payments to vendors and prepares payment registers for approval. The individual will have a mandate to recommend new process improvement ideas that will drive value.Key Responsibilities:Manage the company-wide Accounts Payable function and own all aspects of accounts payable, travel and expense management, reporting and analysisEnsure timeliness and accuracy of AP deliverables, including disbursements to vendors and reimbursements to staff, AP reconciliation activities, AP monthly close, and associated financial reportingCreate and maintain formal Accounts Payable policies and procedures ensuring they are followedEnsure a strong internal control framework is followed and maintained within the Accounts Payable departmentEvaluate processes to identify opportunities for improving efficiencies including process automation and potential system enhancementsimplementationsResearch and resolve issues or discrepanciesCoordinate and assist Operations teams to resolve issues related to order creation and issuance approvals and receiving discrepancies that impact vendor invoice processingWork as liaison with travel and credit card providers to ensure proper reporting and to solve issues as they may ariseDevelop, manage, mentor, coach and retain staffPerform special and ad hoc projects as necessaryQualifications:5-10 years of Accounts Payable experience. Bachelor's degree.
