Job Description:

A national developer is seeking a Real Estate Counsel to join the growing team. This role will partner with dealmakers and lead teams in a wide variety of real estate development transactions.Responsibilities:Review and negotiate real estate purchase agreements, lease agreements, joint venture agreements, and other legal documents related to development projects.Design deal structure in cooperation with team dealmaker and financeConduct thorough due diligence on prospective properties, including title examinations, environmental assessments, and zoning analysis.Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and compliance issues related to real estate transactions and development activities.Oversight of outside counsel in construction financing, refinancing, and other mattersAssist with land use planning and zoning matters, including zoning applications, variances, and entitlements.Provide legal support for construction and financing activities, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts, loan agreements, and other financing documents.Qualifications:Juris Doctorate and admission to any state barMinimum of four years' experience as a real estate transaction attorney; large law firm experience preferredPurchasesale financing and leasing experience preferred
