ABOUT USThe Jewish Leadership Academy is a new world-class Jewish Middle and High School designed to develop the skills, curiosity, and potential of Miami's most ambitious students for a life of purpose, commitment, and service.JLA is committed to:Challenging inquisitive minds to think critically and creatively in pursuit of the highest academic standards across all disciplines.   Putting values into action by embedding leadership training and community service into the heart of the educational program.Engaging the mind and stirring the soul to connect with the Jewish past and the Jewish present, the Jewish People and the Jewish State, through the broad and embracing lens of Modern Orthodoxy.OVERVIEWThis is a full-time, in-person position who will report directly to the CFO COO. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESThe position includes, but are not limited to these primary areas of responsibility:Serve as receptionist by greeting and assisting visitors, students, parents and faculty; answering and handling phone callsProvide information on a variety of topics, including rules, disciplinary measures, and day-to-day operations of the schoolProcess student admittance and dismissals; assists in recording of attendance and arranges early releases (using attendance and visitor management software)Maintains records of school operations, such as bus scheduling and routes, classroom assignments and school activitiesCollaborate with colleagues and staff to support the school community, including participation in admission activitiesProvide secretarial support in addition to reception dutiesSupport the business office with other duties and projects as assigned or neededQUALIFICATIONSThe successful candidate will have a High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2+ years experience working front desk reception in a school or office setting, andor customer service roles.
