(see E Ink │ Our Company)About the position:E Ink provides the exciting and enabling "electronic paper" display technology used by eReaders throughout the world to provide a low-power, paper-like display. E Ink is seeking an innovative and results-focused individual to develop driving electronics, software, and test methods to enable custom and novel driving of electrophoretic displays. The focus is on understanding and quantifying the limitations of current active matrix backplane performance in context of current and new electrophoretic display technology. Based on this understanding the candidate would propose driving electronics, controller functionality, and backplane design improvements to support the needs of our customers. In this role you will work in a collaborative development team environment and work closely with other development teams and a production team. You will be responsible for planning projects, executing experiments and communicating activities and results. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, and a record of driving toward pragmatic solutions to industrial problems. Responsibilities:Develop and perform electronic test methods for new active matrix backplane designs for their suitability for use in electronic paper products Investigate and resolve product performance concerns Understand root causes and provide design guidelines and criteria to the active matrix design team Provide record keeping and documentation Proactively seek opportunities for continuous process improvement Support and track time-sensitive projects Qualifications: B.S. or, preferably, M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus five or more years of industrial experienceExperience with display technology, active matrix backplanes, or a relevant technology Experience with electronic data acquisition and analysis using equipment such as Oscilloscopes Experience with embedded systems or micro controllers and related electronic interfaces Programming experience is required: proficiency with Matlab, CC++, and Python is preferred Ability to function as a member of a cross-functional and cross-disciplinary team to effectively accomplish shared goals Ability to be self-directed, motivated, and hands-onAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentBenefits:Competitive total compensation packageMedical, dental and vision on 1st dayCompany 401K match20 PTO daysGenerous sick leave policyCasual day to day work environmentHybridflexible work environment (for some positions)E Ink is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
