The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced team of professional engineers and designers who specialize in Energy Projects.POSITION SUMMARY: The Engineer for this position will be responsible for the development of design parameters including power system design, engineering specification, equipment and instrumentation specifications, equipment selections, code interpretations and analysis as it pertains to the design of Energy Facilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:ENGINEERINGPerform engineering analysiscalculations and facilitate design activities, with some oversight, necessary to successfully execute the following Electrical elements:Arc FlashShort Circuit StudiesProtective Relay Coordination StudiesElectrical System Modeling utilizing ETAPInterconnect Wiring DiagramsMotor Control SchematicsApplication of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)One-Line DiagramsConduitCable SchedulesConduit Design (AG, BG)Point-to-Point Wiring DiagramsLighting DesignEquipment Grounding DesignElectrical Equipment SpecificationsElectrical Load AnalysisFamiliarity and experience in the application of the following codesstandards is helpful in this role.Title 49 CFR Parts 190-199IEEEIESNEMANFPA 70 (NEC)API RP 500DELIVERABLE MANAGEMENTParticipate in quality review of drawings to ensure compliance with safety-first design practices, company standards and applicable industry codes.Coordinate and communicate project-specific deliverables with team members of all disciplines.Research, review, and design integration of Company Standards, Municipality Requirements, and Regulatory Codes as it pertains to project deliverables.Perform QAQC of drawing deliverables.Review other discipline deliverables to ensure design is properly executed and aligns with project objectives.Perform field related work to obtain design pertinent information as needed.Review and respond to project RFI's throughout project-life.Review third-party vendor drawings to ensure compatibility with intended design.Experience in field site assessmentsQUALIFICATIONS: GENERALUS citizen or Permanent ResidentSKILLS & ABILITIESattention to detail, process orientation, and focus on accuracy with a sense of urgency towards project objectives.Strong work ethic and ability to establish priorities among project deliverables.self-motivated with the ability to work independently or with engineering and design teams of other disciplines.Ability to react promptly and efficiently shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as well as presentation skillsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical EngineeringWork Experience 1-10 yearsCandidate will ideally have experience with the following software:ETAP, SKM, or equivalentAutoCADMicrosoft Office SuiteExperience in midstream energy or petrochemical sector - preferred
