Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a thorough knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing system installation throughout a broad spectrum of building types. The ideal candidate will be able to meet with a customer (owner) and work with very little information to conceptualize, scope, price and ultimately construct a project. The person should have as a minimum ten (10) years of construction leadership experience of mechanical work, with direct control of labor productivity and managing various subcontractors. They must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize profitability and performance for us and our customers. This position is based in Sioux Falls, SD where this person will manage multiple large mechanical construction projects, with oversight from our Omaha, NE office.Skills Responsibilities:Responsibilities include managing all aspects of Mechanical trade work with projects direct to owner and Construction Managers.Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.Customer skills, project accounting, technical ability, and cost control ability are all important elements of the job. Basic design and code understanding is required.Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, subcontractors, etc.Ability to price and work off P&ID drawings and then take them to layouts Isometrics for the construction phase.Plan, coordinate andor supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned itiate and maintain liaison with client and AE contacts to facilitate construction activities. Build upon those relationships for securing future work. Monitorcontrol construction through administrative direction of multiple Project Mangers to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget; analyze variances and implement corrective measures.Manage all financial aspects of contracts (material & equipment buyouts, billings, payment, subcontractor, incomeexpenses, value engineering, etc.) to protect company's interest and relationship with the customer.Accountable for making decisions and recommendations which can greatly affect profitability of our projects. Authorizeapprove all project transactions, billings, subcontractor requisitions, material purchases, change requests, etc.Ensure project logs and documentation files are maintained (directly or through PA).Knowledge of mechanical systems (process piping, plumbing, HVAC) on construction projects from conception through completion, including conceptual design, estimating, pre-construction, construction & project close-outExperience in the contracting world that both self-performs construction work and has had direct craft labor responsibility. Some experience working as a Prime Contractor (direct communication with the owner), not a Subcontractor.Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, Power Point).Knowledge of, and ability to effectively manage BIMCAD.Knowledge of common fabrication practices and implementation on jobsites. Knowledge of scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera).Senior Project Manager Requirements:Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and minimum of 10 years' experience in construction leadership specific to Mechanical Trade Work. OR10 years progressive trade experience including 10 years' experience in construction leadership with experience specific to Mechanical Systems.
