Sanitation SupervisorJob DescriptionFull Time (Permanent)Brownwood, TexasCOMPANY OVERVIEWWe represent a pet food company based with a manufacturing plant based in Brownwood, Texas.POSITION OVERVIEWThe role of the Sanitation Supervisor is to provide leadership and take full ownership by providing solutions anddirection for day-to-day sanitation operations.This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving sanitation programs, policies,and key performance indicators (KPI'S) in compliance with SQF, GMP's, HACCP's, MSS, SSOPS, policies andprocedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to take complete ownership of all sanitation relatedprograms and procedures.• Develop a culture where employee safety is the top priority.• Works directly with people safety to ensure all safety requirements related to sanitation are met specificallyleading: HAZCOM, chemical safety, SDS, etc.• Manage a flexible work schedule that requires dedicated support to multiple shifts by priority which willinclude weekends and nights.• Collaborate with Operations, QA, Food Safety, Business Unit Leaders, and Chemical Supply Vendors, toimplement sanitation programs and meet key performance indicators (KPI's).• Provide technical direction to facility Sanitarians to ensure all records are completed, reviewed and signedoff (i.e.- chemical concentrations, CIP validations, pre-operational inspection, COP records, SSOP's, etc.).• Follow all GMP, HAACP, Food Safety, MSS, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures.• Maintains, updates and audits SSOP's to ensure they accurately reflect cleaning activities.• Maintains, updates and audits MSS to ensure facility is maintained in sanitary condition.• Develops sanitation related training and ensures sanitation training is conducted as needed.• Responsible for completion of corrective action (CAPA's) for sanitation deficiencies.• Actively involved in plant HACCP team.• Inspects and evaluates facility sanitary conditions, assesses risk based on food safety and implementscorrective actions.• Other duties may include staffing, scheduling, and purchasing of supplies to maintain inventory levels.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Minimum 5 years' experience in plant qualityfood safetysanitation and or leadershipsupervisorexperience.• Ability to hold others accountable to priorities while maintaining a continuous improvement mindset.• Proficient in Microsoft office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.• Knowledge of HACCP and other sanitation principles.• Ability to work under pressure.• A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude• Must be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screening.• Must be eligible to work in the US.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• A bachelor's degree in food science, Chemistry, or a similar discipline is preferred.• Certification as a Sanitarian is a plus.• Certifications in HACCP, PCQI, or other food safety programs are a plus.RELOCATIONRelocation is available to those who qualify.
