Position: Middleware (CICS, MQ)Location: Hartford, CTDuration: FTEJob Description:Manage BAU (Business As Usual) Service Delivery for Mainframe Middleware CICS, MQ, IMS TM in a Technical CapacityProvide Business hours support and then On-Call support as is the norm in BAU Service Delivery Role.Develop, design, maintain, test, document and deploy CICS systems-level and application software features and changes.Administer a large CICS Production and Test environment utilizing CPSM (Sysplex mainframe environment).Administer 3rd-party systems software, including CICS system utilities, along with application software development libraries (COBOL, JCL, PROC's, PARM's, copybooks). Assembler is a plus but not required.Performance and Tuning in a large ZOS Environment. Including Dump skills for Troubleshooting.Create new or modify existing CICS regions in support of new applications or CICS architecture re-engineering stall and maintain installation and maintenance of CICS software (Including CPSM support) and third-party vendor software to maintain a reliable and stable infrastructure.Proficient with the IBM Information Management System DCKnowledge of IMS Transaction Manager (IMSTM), Explore how these facilities work together and how application programs interact with them in today's complex enterprise systemsInstallation, patching, configuring and problem determination for IMSBuilding and management of IMS in a highly available environment on the Mainframe platformsWork with and manage an IMS system: Data Communications (DC)SystemsApplications ManagementTroubleshootingPerformance Tuning of IMSFamiliar with the following Security Products: RACF; Ancillary Products: SYSBII, IPCP, CAFC, ROPES, SYSVIEW, BMS GT, Macro4 Suite, CATS (ASG), DADS Plus ,Intertest, ERI, CICS PA , ZOS Connect, Configuration Manager;Support Mainframe OnlineOLTP environment CICS, MQ, WASSupport Mainframe Message Transfer & Connectivity environments zOS CONNECTGood understanding of Messaging Interfaces and Connections to DB2, IMS, DatacomMonitoring, Incident and Problem Management of Mainframe Middleware environmentIBM and ISV Vendor Coordination for Ticketing IncidentsProblems, SW downloads, EscalationsWork on Mainframe Middleware administration Tools and ProductsTechnical requirements:Strong knowledge of CICS, CICSPlex, MQ, IMS TM on zOSCICS, IMS TM & MQ Version UpgradesExperience working with: CICS Performance Analyzer, SAS, IBM Utilities and diagnostic tools such as Omegamon and Mainview for CICSProficiency in the maintenance of IBM CICS & MQ softwareSkilled at troubleshooting problems in the CICS & MQ environment.Strong dump analysis skills using IPCSKnowledgeable in zOS CONNECT and WAS.Knowledgeable in zOSMF and ZOWEExperience in using Xpeditor, Strobe, CICS Explorer, SysView, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, CICS-CTGExperience in customizing ISPF Panels, RSU Maintenance, Analyzing and Fixing CICS AbendsPreparing the IMS network involves interaction with system and network generation activities.Specifications for IMS system definition and execution control parametersProcedural controls for operationMonitoring and gathering production statisticsEstablishing procedures to control changes to the online system designTesting the online system after application and IMS changes
