Led by Colin Mahoney, our principal, our team collaborates to execute global campaigns with consistent strategies and messaging across markets and specialties.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Public Relations Account Executive at Mahoney Communications Group. The Account Executive will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing and executing strategic PR campaigns, creating and editing content, maintaining relationships with media contacts, and monitoring and reporting on campaign results. This role is primarily located in New York, NY, with flexibility for some remote work.A PR account executive will typically: Write press releases, news stories, articles, case studies and product piecesPitch press releases and feature ideas by phone or email to national, regional and trade journalists, across print, broadcast and online, to interest them in covering their clients' storiesRespond to phone calls and emails from journalistsArrange interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients' spokespeople - in person or over the phone - and facilitate these meetings where appropriateMonitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clientsAttend client events and industry conferencesHandle clients' social media accounts such as their Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn pageDeliver analytics reports on social media, reporting on traffic, engagement and follower figuresBrainstorm fresh ideas for PR campaignsKey skills and experience:3+ years professional experience in PR, marketing, communications or journalismBachelor's degree in PR, marketing, communications, journalism or related fieldProficient in AP StyleProficient with CisionMuckRack for media list development and researchProficient with WordPress content management systems for basic updates to websites and blogs is a plusUnderstanding of social media tools and networks, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter; Hootsuite experience is a plusExperience with Photoshop and graphic design software is a plusDeadline driven
