Job Description:

Banyan Search is assisting a growing Charlotte investment and development company with the search for a Controller. This position will work closely with the CFO for the organization and will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company and its various affiliates. The Controller is also responsible for the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.Responsibilities for the Controller position will include:Production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reportsMaintenance and review of budgetsOversee and manage the accounting teamManage accounting operations of subsidiary corporationsOversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operationsEnsure bank reconciliations are timely completedCalculate and issue financial and operating metricsAssist with providing information to external tax return preparersComply with government reporting requirements and tax filingsQualified Controller candidates will possess:BSBA in Accounting or Business AdmCPA preferredStrong Excel skillsExperience working with QuickBooksStrong Excel skills'Excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to provide suggestions for process improvementsThe company is managed by leadership with an entrepreneur focus. The position is an in office role in Charlotte.
