Job Description:

The CAD Artist plays a crucial role in creating detailed drawings and art work translating conceptual ideas into precise and accurate digital representations that reflects brand esthetics and design integrity. As a CAD artist, you will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate computer-generated drawings based on conceptual designs, sketches, or specifications provided by the design creative team.Reporting to: Vice President Graphic DesignBrandProduct Focus: DKNY SportswearLocation (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan - Fashion DistrictKey Accountabilities:Partner with design teams to create concept, color, prints and graphic direction consistent with brand esthetics and terpret current trends to create original artwork for DKNY SportswearDevelop and refine the artistic vision for design creative concept.tResearch current trends in print design and colorPrepare artwork packages for development overseas, send, and monitor progress, partner with production and design teams on artwork placement.Design all over, engineered and placement prints.Color match, generate and update digital color palettes.Color all artwork to seasonal palette specifications; create repeats of prints.Scan, clean and create repeats from purchased art work.Color separate and prepare detail artwork packages for municate with the overseas offices and vendors.Follow and comply with development calendars ensuring all deadlines are metEducation and Experience:3-5 years of experience in a Cad or Print designKnowledge of print techniques manufacturing processSkills and Behaviors:Excellent sense of color and understanding of layoutProficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, photoshop and KaledoUnderstanding of mill practicestextile designprint techniquesExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbout G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. | excels at bringing excitement and confidence to customers through the fashion we create.
