Job Description:

Assists the various craftsmen in the performance of their work within a particular construction work area and in accordance with generally accepted standards of the craftSupervises workers assigned to area of responsibility to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications and meets quality standardsActs as the competent person on the job by identifying existing and predicable hazards which are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to employees and halting any operation or removes employees from environments that may be dangerousMay mix cement, using hoe or concrete mixing machineLoad, transport, unload, and furnish experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment, and suppliesClean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessaryRigging of mobile and stationery scaffolding on structures in accordance with corporate guidelinesMay assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces during installationMay perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of journeyman's tools and equipmentPerform other routine duties as directed by craft workerMay remove rough or defective spots from concrete using grinder, hammer, andor chisel.
