Job Description:

This position is on-site in our plant located in Jackson, MI.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of Engineering for a manufacturing plant which may include: engineering projects, capital project management, product design, equipment maintenance, and process improvementsDevelop and implement preventative maintenance plansDevelop plant layoutsIdentify process improvement initiatives and execute projects to improve safety, quality, cost and productivityEmploy Lean and Six Sigma concepts and practices; conduct Kaizen events, Value stream mapping, 7 wastes, and 5SCoordinate with other plant departments including: Operations, Quality, Sales, and Human ResourcesSupport Quality Control circle activities, corrective action reviews and root cause analysesTrack and report project statistics, timelines, budgets etc.Supervise a team of Engineers, Draftsman, and Technicians; assign projects and ensure successful completionRequirements:Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferredSeven (7) years of experience in Engineering; including supervisionRobotics and or automation, PLC and CAD experience requiredPrevious experience in assembly manufacturingPrevious experience with polyurethane foam products preferredVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency
