Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist II to support our client's medical facility based in Austin, TX 78701. Location: Melrose, MA 02176 and Also Boston, MA 02111Job Type: 6 months - W2 contract - with possible extensionSchedule: part time - night - 24 hours 3 days 11PM - 7AM - Melrose, MA 02176 : 12:30PM - 9pm or 3PM - 11:30 PM Mon-Friday rotating weekends - Boston, MA 02111Pay Range: MLT's $20-$25 per hour, MT's $29-$37. Responsibilities: Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls. Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Assist with processing of specimens when needed. Qualifications:Seeking an MLSMT or MLT experienced in Blood Bank - will be supporting Blood Bank Department.ASCP AMT is preferred.A minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required. *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
