Project Engineering ManagerWe are working with a national food manufacturer on an engineering position that will support capital projects in four locations in the Central New York area. This is an opportunity with a solid, long-standing company that will promote growth opportunities from within. Must be open to travel to these locations 50% percent of the time.Location: Syracuse, NY areaJob Responsibilities:Review project proposals or plans to determine the time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing the project. Evaluates staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within the prescribed budget.Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others.Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.Occasional travel to other area facilities.Required SkillsQualifications: Degree in Mechanical, industrial, or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's degree preferred)10+ years experience in manufacturing (food, beverage, or pharma preferred)7+ years of experience in project managementExperience handling CapEx projectsFamiliar with the following trades: Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Utilities, and ConstructionAble to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected eventsAnalytical and Problem Solving: Works well in group problem-solving situationsCommunication: Exceptional interpersonal skillsChange Management: Develop workable implementation plans Ability to travel up to 50%
