This posting is for a role in beverage R&D, for the creation and optimization of beverages for our cafés andor alternate business channels across the globe.Job Title: Product Development AssistantKey Responsibilities:Provide assistance during tastings, including product guidance and other sensory testsSupport team by developing beverage build of materials (BOM) and recipe cardsAssist in beverage presentations and product tastings with leadershipCollect beverage ingredients analytical data (brix, pH, moisture, solids, and other physical properties) as neededManage ingredients shelf-life studies from storing samples to conducting testing and reporting results to the product developers.Monitor and keep the lab organized and stocked as needed for project workHandle incoming and outgoing shipmentsMinimum Qualifications:An associate degree or higher in Food Science, culinary or other related fieldsFood and beverage preparation experience. Barista experience a plus.Basic knowledge of math and scienceKnowledge of MS office programsAbility to communicate clearly, verbally and in writingGood organizational skills, ability to multi-taskAbility to work in a face pace environmentAbility to follow direction, seek guidance as necessary and provide regular progress reportAbility to work independently and as part as a teamAbility to deliver excellent customer service with attention to detailsAbility to build positive and effective working relationships with other team membersLocation: Seattle, WASalary Range: The salary for this position is between $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
