Candidates must be local to Boston, MA for considerationDynamic role responsible for the management and production of building infrastructure design systems. Successful candidate will possess capability to work independently in order to complete the majority of projects managed, from proposal to close out, with limited assistance from a Senior Engineer or Director.Job SummarySupport the electrical and lighting design of systems from various projects-including power systems, lighting, fire alarm, and other electrical components for buildingsEnsuring that electrical designs meet building codes, safety standards, and regulations set by local authorities and that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standardsWorking closely with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into building corporating energy-efficient technologies and practices into electrical designs to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact.Estimating the costs associated with electrical designs and ensuring that projects stay within budget constraints.Overseeing the testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they function properly and meet performance requirements.Troubleshooting electrical issues that arise during the design, construction, or operation of buildings.Creating detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical systems to guide construction and maintenance activities.Keeping up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technologies, building codes, and industry standards.Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systemsCollaborate with Technical Leaders and Sr. Engineers to ensure adherence to WB standards and appropriate workload management and deviations in project scope or additional servicesAttend project meetings and site visitsQualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similarEquivalent of 5-7 years of relevant professional experienceRevit experience preferred, high proficiency in AutoCADComprehensive understanding of applicable design and building codesProvides a consultative approach to problem solving
