Voted a Top Workplace for 2022 and for the past twelve consecutive years, Fremont Bank has an immediate opening for a Compliance Manager in Livermore, CA.Position OverviewTo developmaintain a compliance program, represent compliance at various committees, identify laws and regulations applicable to the business lines, review compliance policies, procedures and monitoring systems, develop compliance training plan for key regulations, identify changes to laws and regulations and support enhancement of related policy, procedures and systems, interface with bank regulators and auditors including follow-up on findings, and review new products, projects and business initiatives for regulatory compliance. Duties are to be performed with little or no direct supervision.. May consult with outside counsel, regulators, vendors, and sub-contractors as needed on any Bank-related matter.Role and ResponsibilitiesAssist with the implementation of new product development programs designed to comply with regulations, including any new or amended regulationsAssist Compliance Management with change management reviews of new products, processes, and initiatives for compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, statutes, and guidanceAssist Compliance Management with implementation of regulatory changes across the organizationProvide advertisement approvals for marketing initiativesCoordinates with Internal Audit the reporting of compliance findings and resulting recommendations, via detailed reports, to Audit Committee of the Board of Directors in a timely mannerOversee the continued development and implementation of the Bank's Fair Lending and Unfair Deceptive Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) Compliance ProgramTracks compliance findings and management responses to ensure audit findings are corrected properly and timelyAssist with monitoring and reviewing processes to ensure that high risk regulatory issues ae properly addressed within applicable business areasReview marketing materials and business processes to insure compliance with applicable regulations and lawsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree preferably in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent work experience.A minimum of five years of compliance experienceThorough knowledge of all rules and regulations pertaining to real estate, consumer lending activities, bank operations, and general accounting practicesProven, strong decision making skillsDemonstrated ability to oversee simultaneous multiple projects, write excellent reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, effectively present information and respond to questions from executive management and department managersExperience working with a Windows-based computer environment, working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong time management and organizational skillsMust have strong research and analytical skills in order to examine and extract relevant information while conducting compliance reviews and other assessmentsGood understanding of risk management, audit techniques, internal controls, audit principles and theoryFamiliarity with current regulatory initiatives and ability to map them to the businesses of the BankShould have a robust personality with excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor, able to work with various business units on a daily basisInternal audit experience including a broad knowledge of operations and mortgages preferredCRCM certification preferred
