The position is responsible for managing, writing and editing monthly print, digital and social media content. This position is also collaborates closely with a team that includes a creative director, writers and freelancers in order to develop high-quality lifestyle content within hard editorial deadlines.Successful candidates must love to work with people"” most of the time and our office golden retriever"” all of the time.Primary Responsibilities:Oversee all features and department editorialWrite 1-3 featuresdepartments per issueProactively determine assignments several months in advanceEdits copy for grammar, punctuation and factual integrityIncludes stylistic headlines and captionsAssume a leadership role during regular editorial meetingsAssist department writersfreelancers with content generationNetworking within the communityJob Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism, media or equivalent work experience.Experience: 3+ years experience as a publications editor or freelance writer preferably in luxury and lifestyle publications.Skills:Long-form storytelling and editing. Engaging short-form editing. Creative headline and tagline editing. Strong attention to detail in proofreading.
