The Controls Engineer provides leadership and technical expertise through organizing, planning, and implementing continuous improvement projects. Support upgrades for control systems within plant facilities. Plan and improve control systems for facilities and manufacturing processes. Gather data to design systems, design equipment, procure materials, and work with vendors to complete projects. Work in conjunction with the outside contractors, Engineering, and Maintenance to achieve controls project goals. The Controls Engineer will also be an ongoing part of the design and upgrading of new and existing equipment.Controls Engineering is responsible for all controls related functions for building utilities and systems to support the operation of a semiconductor manufacturing facility. Participates in review of system design, maintenance, and operation of all Facilities related equipment. Supports efforts with manufacturing equipment including water plants, chillers, boilers, cooling water systems, compressed air, specialty gases, chemicals, and HVAC related equipment. Performs necessary tasks to maintain regulatory requirements of federal, state, and local codes; includes gas scrubber and wastewater operations, and storm water emissions. Manage service providers and contractors as required to complete assigned projects.
