Job Summary The Manager of Environmental Services is responsible for managing and training the Department of Environmental Services for the facilities supporting Cook County Health & Hospitals System (CCH). Serves as a resource to staff ensuring consistent training practices are align with operational expectations. Conducts routine facility inspections to ensure total quality management in operations and creates a report to provide feedback to staff. Ensures compliance with infection prevention, safety, Occupational Health, and Safety Administration (OSHA), Joint Commission, and regulatory standards.General Administrative ResponsibilitiesCollective BargainingReview applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements and consult with Labor Relations to generate management proposals.Participate in collective bargaining negotiations, caucus discussions and working meetings.DisciplineDocument, recommend and effectuate discipline at all levelsWork closely with labor relations andor labor counsel to effectuate and enforce applicable Collective Bargaining AgreementsInitiate, authorize and complete disciplinary action pursuant to CCH system rules, policies, procedures and provision of applicable collective bargaining agreements.SupervisionDirect and effectuate CCH management policies and practices.Access and proficiently navigate CCH records system to obtain and review information necessary to execute provisions of applicable collective bargaining agreements.ManagementContribute to the management of CCH staff and CCH' systemic development and successDiscuss and develop CCH system policy and procedureConsistently use independent judgment to identify operational staffing issues and needs and perform the following functions as necessary;
