Job Description:

Production Control Assistant Manager Carol Stream, IL80,000-90,000Facilitate communication between customers and production to ensure smooth material flow.Plan, issue, and control production schedules and material requirements.Forecast production and customer demands accurately.Address unique circumstances and special requests promptly.Resolve shipping errors, material shortages, and other issues effectively.Analyze inventory usage, scrap, and shrinkage for optimization.Supervise production and operating employees as directed by the Manager.Develop short- to mid-term strategies to achieve business objectives.Implement decisions aligned with corporate vision and business conditions.Gather and analyze information to identify root causes and drive improvements.Utilize 8-Step Problem Solving for continual improvement.Direct work schedules, assignments, and tasks efficiently.Monitor results and processes to maximize production and minimize waste.Prepare and present departmental reports to management.Manage necessary documentation such as status changes and performance evaluations.Collaborate with HR Manager in hiring and interviewing potential terpret work orders, specifications, and company policies for employees.Work with other managers and team members to address business needs.Assist Manager in developing and implementing standard work instructions.Requirements:Preferably 3+ years of experience in production or inventory control.Minimum of 1 year in a management role.Previous manufacturing experience required.Proficient in Shipping, Receiving, Order selection, and Logistics.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Experience in production planning in a lean environment.Familiarity with managing both internal and external supply chains.Possess strong customer relations skills.Demonstrates strong project management abilities.Exhibits strong process development skills.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.ISOTS knowledge preferred.Experienced in raw material scheduling (Steel, purchased parts) in a lean environment.Equal Opportunity EmployerVeteransDisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records subject to federal contractor requirements andor security clearance requirements
