Maintenance Mechanic Job DescriptionGenerally repairing, maintaining, and rebuilding the production, shipping, and facility equipment, working on burners, ovens, and large machinery.Responds to calls from production, shipping employees, and management to make repairsPerforms established preventative maintenance programsAssists with all aspects of new equipment installationAssists management with scheduling maintenance projectsMaintains accurate and complete departmental recordsReads and interprets mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints schematicsEnsures all equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirementsWorks with contractors as neededOther duties as assigned QualificationsAssociate degree in electrical or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, any certifications are a plus, preferred but not mandatory5 years minimum experienceMUST have own toolsIndustrial maintenancePneumatic and hydraulic systemsDC drives, servos, solenoids, photo eyes, relays, limit switches and electric motorsSafe work habits, following proper LOTO and other OSHA requirements"Advanced" skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairMust have own maintenance tools, including 480 volt and 3 phase electric voltmeter, and able to useAble to effectively and efficiently use various maintenance tools and equipment
