SUMMARYWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Analytical Chemist to join our laboratory team in the Midland, Andrews, Cuero Texas areas (must reside near locations). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex chemical analyses to support our oil field operations. This role requires a deep understanding of analytical chemistry, as well as experience with the specific challenges and requirements of working in an oil field environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESâ–ª Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses using techniques such as gas chromatography, ICP spectroscopy, IC chromatography and various wet chemistry techniques.â–ª Develop and validate analytical methods and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient analysis results.â–ª Interpret data and provide detailed reports and recommendations based on analysis findings.â–ª Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance.â–ª Collaborate with other scientists and engineers to support oil field exploration, production, andenvironmental monitoring.â–ª Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations in all laboratory activities.â–ª Manage sample collection and storage procedures to maintain sample integrity.â–ª Stay up to date with advancements in analytical chemistry and oil field technologies.â–ª Provide technical guidance and support to junior chemists and laboratory technicians.REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEâ–ª Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.â–ª Minimum of [2 years] experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in an oil field laboratory setting.â–ª Proficiency in using analytical instruments and interpreting complex data.â–ª Familiarity with statistical proceduresâ–ª Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.â–ª Ability to work independently and as part of a team.â–ª Strong communication and report writing skills.â–ª Familiarity with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.â–ª Ability to work in a laboratory setting, which may include standing for extended periods and handling hazardous PUTERâ–ª Strong proficiency in Microsoft Products.PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSâ–ª Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not exclude or restrict the tasks that may be assigned or re-assigned.
