Trustpoint One is pleased to assist a dynamic litigation firm in its search for a Litigation Paralegal for the firm's Reno, Nevada office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creditors' rights tasks and a strong understanding of Nevada court rules and procedures. Litigation Paralegal Duties and Responsibilities:• Direct staff in the organizationmanagement of dataevidence and assist with case management• Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery, stipulations, order, and judgments, etc.• Research and calculate pre- andor post-judgment interest• Investigate, locate, analyze, summarize, and track facts, evidence, and other data using online resources, such as Pacer, state court dockets, search engines, social media, Westlaw, county assessor and treasurer databases, etc.• Prepare pre-suit damages analysis• Locate and interview witnesses and work with investigator(s) • Work with expert witnesses, including researching potential experts, preparation of documents for review, and coordination of filing andor service of expert reports• Communicate with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, courts, government agencies, etc.• Research, analyze, and summarize depositions, witness statements, rules of procedure, evidence, statutes, regulations, and occasionally, case law• Draft privilege and redaction logs• Judgment research, domestication, and renewal• Appropriate utilization of e-discovery platforms, such as Ipro e-discovery software, Relativity, etc. to manage evidence in conjunction with our Litigation Support Team• Appropriate utilization of other legal technologies, such as CaseMap, TimeMap, TextMap,TrialDirector, OnCue, and PageVault• Facilitate court filings • Instruct docketing staff on recording deadlines, verifying accuracy of deadlines, tracking deadlines, and ensuring deadlines are met• Prepare fact chronologies. Prepare for and attending arbitration, hearings, mediation, and trialQualifications:• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in paralegal or legal studies from regionally accredited college or university preferred• NALA certification is highly preferred• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong understanding of Nevada court rules and procedures. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain flexible to meet client and attorney needs • Willingness to take initiative and anticipate the needs of attorneys, clients, and matters• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation• Good understanding of legal terminology, including technology and e-Discovery terms• Ability to respond timely and effectively in a team atmosphere • Excellent knowledge and understanding of litigation workflows and processes• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed• Outstanding technology aptitude and literacy, including but not limited to the complete Microsoft Office suite; PDF compilation programs; file management systems (DeskSiteiManage); time tracking software, e-Discovery platforms; case management programs; and web capture software• Experience researching, understanding, and utilizing various e-filing processes • Ability to prioritize accurately or to readily obtain direction on prioritization of tasks• Significant knowledge of the Nevada and Federal Civil Rules of Procedure • Knowledgeexperience with other state civil rules, including California, Arizona, and Colorado• Outstanding technology literacy with solid e-Discovery skills.Qualified Litigation Paralegals should submit a resume in Word format.
