Job Description:

Skywalker seeks on-call Bartenders to support ongoing event operations at Summit Skywalker Ranch. The Guest Services team is responsible for providing guest services throughout multi-day events, food and beverage duties, ranch special event coordination and assisting with wine tastings. Candidates who apply must be available to work at various events throughout the year.Bartenders keep the bar running smoothly by handling day-to-day operations, managing resources, and creating a safe, fun environment for staff and patrons. Bartenders will both advise and make alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages and food-pairings for bar and patrons, interacting with customers, taking orders, and serving menu options (both food and drink).The Bartender is a beverage expert, responsible for fostering and developing an exciting, positive, results-based environment for Summit Skywalker Ranch collaborating with all members of a small, exclusive operational team. Must possess strong personal organization, genuine hospitality, and care for staff. Understands and implements traditional and contemporary luxurylifestyle standards. This is a hands-on role.Bartender Responsibilities:Manage the bar and beverage requests throughout events, mixing and pouring drinksFollow current company policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of new and existing programs to successfully implement and support company goalsPractice safe food handling procedures alwaysAttend all meetings and seminars (e.g., employee meetings) as directed by the managerDress in appropriate attire and maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout the shiftAssist in training new employees using updated policies, procedures, and techniquesAttend "line ups" and be aware of posted information and follow through accordinglySet-upbreak-down and continual maintenance of bar and surrounding areas and check out with manager Regular education both individual & group based for all departments of alcohol general education, serving methods, responsible handling, & pairing practicesRequirementsMinimum of two years' experience as a bartender in a luxury hotel, residence, restaurantStrong beer, wine, and food-pairing knowledgeCandidate must have extensive hands-on food and beverage knowledge and experience including multiple outletsExperience in implementing new beverage concepts and food pairingsProven ability to engage associates at all levelsThis individual must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile eventsMust meet standards of appearanceCandidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple prioritiesThe noise level and temperature are moderate. The employee can sit, stand andor walk for up to 10 hours a day. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, or kneel, lift to 40 lbs. and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed.
