The role entails working collaboratively and cross-functionally with a multi-disciplinary team of CMOS, Electronics, and Systems engineers. Tasks will include design, layout and verification of a variety of gain elements, electro-optic phase shiftersmodulators, thermo-optic phase shiftersswitches and passive components such as splitters, couplers and high-Q filtersgratings. The silicon photonics components and subsystems will then be co-integrated in complex systems. The candidate will work with a variety of teams to support the calibration, operation, and qualification of these chip-scale systems.
