Job Summary:Prolink is seeking a proficient AutomationElectrical Engineer responsible for assigned projects' electrical design and automation. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. A strong emphasis is placed on understanding and utilizing "SEE Electrical" for updating electrical drawings.Responsibilities:Implement automation and electrical engineering designs for assigned projects, focusing on "SEE Electrical".Execute machine automation design and adaptation engineering using specific design standards.Manage electrical contractor or maintenance installation teams during equipment modifications and machine installations. Prepare budgetary estimates and bid packages for projects.Develop comprehensive project documentation, including schematics, safety risk assessments, maintenance and operator training documents, and user municate effectively with plant production & maintenance customers, other engineers, and suppliers.Order equipment and materials for assigned projects.Execute project automation design, including system component specification, implementation, start-up, and commissioning.Design control system architecture layout, control panel layouts, IO assignments, and bill of materials.Develop PLC software to meet functional specifications and perform panel inspections on incoming equipment.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experienceA minimum of 4-6 years of Engineering experienceProficiency in "SEE Electrical" and other electrical design standards and CAD design toolsExpertise in PLC programming standards & software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text. Experience with Rockwell and Siemens is a plus.Knowledge of Variable Frequency drives and Motion Control technologies, particularly Rockwell, Siemens, and Control Techniques.Experience with HMI configuration, programming, and communication, particularly Rockwell.Understanding of controls systems network interfaces and protocols for device communications, including computer system databases.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Vision System configuration and interface for width measurement and defect detection applications. A plus is familiarity with Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, and Gocator.Knowledge or experience with Robotics, particularly Fanuc and ABB.Work Schedule:Standard work hours: 40 hrsweek, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, shifts may require weekend or holiday coverage.Overtime work may be approved as needed.Work during plant shutdowns as required, which may fall on weekends and holidays.Work schedules may vary based on project needs and assignments, including requirements for travel to Mexico.Prolink is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
