Description Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our NAVAIR customer in Lexington Park, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience performing systems engineering, systems analysis, and supporting software development activities in support of acquisition, design, test and operations. This position can be performed remotely, with up to 25% travel required.Position Responsibilities:Provide engineering design and analysis assessmentsValidate system and customer requirementsRoadmap and release planningFormal software and system milestone reviewsRisk adjudicationCONOPS and use case developmentPerform trade studies and author technical white papersDraft system specificationsConduct and lead system test eventsCapture meeting minutes and action itemsEvaluate vendor design and requirements specifications, hardware proposals and software solutionsAbility to establish a plan for a project and accomplish goals embodied by the planCoordinate and lead technical exchange meetings with vendors, customers and system operatorsAbility to work in ambiguous situations relying on creativity to deliver productsAbility to explain and effectively communicate complex engineering analyses and studies to government and corporate managementAbility to contribute to team efforts or to operate completely independentlyRequired Qualifications:B.S. in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields10+ years of experience conducting engineering analysis, modeling, and simulationExperience working in the defense industryDemonstrated initiative and strong ownership of deliverablesDemonstrated experience leading working groupsVery comfortable speaking to groupsStrong writing skills Desired Qualifications:Experience with the IMINT, GEOINT and Targeting communitiesExperience with the TLAM weapon system or other weapon systemsExperience with mission planning navigation products such as DEM and DSMACExperience with intelligence community systems such as MIDB and JTT2+ years MBSE experience2+ years SAFe experienceJIRA experienceDOORS experience          Security Requirements: Must be eligible to obtain government Secret security clearance, with the ability to hold up to Top Secret /  SCI clearance.Original Posting Date:2024-02-12While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
