In addition, Guaranteed Rate Affinity markets its services to consumers and unaffiliated realtor referral sources.What's the Role?Guaranteed Rate Affinity is currently seeking a hard-working, dedicated Licensed Sales Assistant to join our innovative and passionate team. The central focus of a Licensed Sales Assistant is to support one or more Vice President(s) of Mortgage Lending with a variety of tasks related to increasing their production, efficiency and quality of work. A Licensed Sales Assistant's tasks are divided between 3 important components including 1) Marketing support; 2) Pre-application through post-closing client interaction, including taking of applications; and 3) Loan data entry into the operating system, Encompass. LSAs are required to be actively licensed and sponsored by the company and must mirror the licensing footprint of the VP(s) they support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Phone and email support including checking messages, return calls and correspondence, to maintain organized files and work environmentMaintaining calendars and scheduling meetings, closings and creating calendar invitations, and following up timely with customers and potential borrowersTaking applications from the VP's clients in person and by phone, performing required and permitted licensable activities, and otherwise supporting origination activity.Ensuring applications are complete, and entering notes into the file for processing as directedPrepare preapproval letters after qualification by the Vice PresidentMonitor the loan from application through the closing process, maintaining effective communications with customers, referral sources, and loan support staff.Pipeline Inspection: review the pipeline to check for challenges and assess daily turn times to minimize lock expirations, missed contingency and scheduled close timesLock, update, change or extend investor locks with Commitment Desk as necessaryChange/extend loans and request pricing expectations as needed or requestedTrack and approve CDs for closings and educate borrowers on process and termsObtain and track CDs, check final numbers and call borrowers with the dollar amount necessary to closeDatabase management including coordinating monthly correspondence to borrowers who recently closed a loanCoordinate with the Marketing Department to create marketing materials for agentsComplete tasks in a timely manner and work amicably with others and the PODOther duties and responsibilities as assignedEducation or Formal Training: Bachelor's degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required 1+ years related experienceComparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be consideredMust have a clear understanding of federal & state rules and regulations along with Fannie, Freddie, FHA, VA, and guidelines on a multi-investor platform.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethicExceptional verbal and written communication and listening skills with ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and influence othersAbility to work a fast-paced environment that will require strong organizational skills and analytical acumenExcellent time-management skills and follow up and follow through with ability to multitask and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with mortgage industry and GRA loan processesAbility to multi-task with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, and loan origination system (preferably Encompass)Ability to think strategically to solve problems or challenges with loan filesNOTE: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with this job.
