Job Description:

Utility Equipment Rental Technician with a Minimum Class B CDL. This role will primarily support warehouse operations while also utilizing driving skills when necessary. The Equipment Rental Technician will work closely with the Fleet Manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure the smooth flow of inbound and outbound utility equipment rentals. The candidate will need to have good mechanical troubleshooting skills.Primary Responsibilities:Warehouse /Fleet Support:Warehouse tasks include receiving, storing, and organizing tool inventory.Utilizes inventory management systems to track stock levels and maintain accurate records.Responsible for processing all aspects of inbound and outbound rentals of equipment.Reports on any missing or damaged toolsInsures all safety compliance paperwork and dates on specific equipment meet specificationsDriving Duties:Utilizes your CDL driver's license to perform delivery or transportation tasks as assigned.Drives equipment to insure mechanical safety for outgoing rentals.Adheres to all traffic laws, vehicle safety guidelines, and company policies.Vehicle Maintenance:Takes responsibility for the routine maintenance and cleanliness of assigned vehicles. Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reports any maintenance or repair needs promptly.Safety and Compliance:Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Follows proper material handling practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Complies with company policies and regulatory requirements related to hazardous materials or workplace safety.Documentation and Record-Keeping:Completes necessary paperwork, such as inspection reports accurately and on time. Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, or any other relevant information.Team Collaboration:Collaborates effectively with manager, sales, colleagues, and other departments to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and optimize workflow. Communicate any delays, changes, or customer feedback promptly.Customer Service:Provides excellent customer service when interacting with customers during deliveries or pickups. Represent the company professionally and address any customer inquiries or concerns in a courteous and helpful manner.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.Physical ability to lift and move heavy items when required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Self-Motivated.Basic mechanical skillsClass B CDL MinimumEducation and Experience:Possession of a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record.High school diploma or equivalent.Willingness to undergo forklift training and certification.Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.Proficiency with DOT/FMCSA regulations
