Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:The Plant Controller must understand cost drivers and opportunities to improve profitability.Manage and develop Accounting, finance staff and perform analysis.Conduct departmental interviews to determine plant material, labor, and overhead budget requirements.Prepare Annual Operating Plan and reforecast as needed.Manage the plant budgeting process.Conduct monthly plant operation review meetings and review budget for labor dollars, labor efficiencies, crewing variances, material usage, and overhead rates.The Plant Controller must assist departmental managers in developing corrective actions for material, labor, and overhead spending variances including monitoring and reporting of departmental and plant goals.Must coordinate Capital evaluation with Corporate Financial AnalystManage the accuracy and completeness of the Cost files.The Plant Controller must manage the new product initiation process and develop costs for new products.Manage the plant budgeting process.Ensure inventory procedures are followed and are accurate.Manage inventory transaction and inventory variance analyses.Develop an overall understanding of the activity-based costing model.QUALIFICATIONS:The Plant Controller must have a degree in Accounting or FinanceMust have a minimum of 7-8 years' experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting.Must have at least 3 years of supervisory experienceMust be proficient in MS Office, MRP, ERP, Bar CodingExcellent communication skills.BENEFITS: Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance Direct Hire Paid time off $85k-$95k/annumAsk for: Amrita Mukherjee
