We heard you knock!High School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years in the field or related areaRequires an understanding of Quality door construction standards and the use of proper assembly techniques.Prior door manufacturing or woodworking experience is requiredResponsibilitiesVerify materials being used are correct by reading the bill of materials (BOM)Ensure materials meet quality expectationsIdentify electrical and electronic componentsFollow Serialization SOP using a handheld tablet interfaceLabel units and components as neededAssemble fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete unitsInstall wiring, electrical, and electronic componentsTest and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specificationsRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOPRepeats tasks until assigned other dutiesCleans up work area when shift endsMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedFollows all safety instructions, Protocols and PPE requirementsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to work independently and/or effectively in a team environmentSolid verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a mustStrong analytical skills & knowledge of all door componentsUnderstanding of basic assembling wire harnesses and components in a production environment (i.e. push/pull check on connections, making sure tabs lock and engage, etc)Basic knowledge of PC and/or Tablet interface Read and understand bill of materials (BOM)Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skillsMust be able to lift up to 75+ lbs.Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square, etc. Required to stand for long periods of time May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers Ability to organize and maintain detailed recordsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multi-taskRead and understand bill of materials (BOM)Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions including extreme heat, humidity, and cold Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilitiesRegular attendance and timeliness is an essential functions of the job in order to avoid any disruptions in production and customer service.
