We heard you knock!Assembler OverviewAssembler will be working on special assigned production line and will be required to follow SOP for specific job assignment. The specials assembler will work on special orders that require more attention to detail and is required to meet specific deadlines.ResponsibilitiesVerify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materialsEnsure materials meet quality expectationsLabel units as neededDoor assembly is more complex and higher-level skill is neededEnsure quality is meetAssembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete unitsTests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specificationsRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOPRepeats tasks until assigned other dutiesCleans up work area when shift endsMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environmentSolid verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail a mustStrong analytical skills & knowledge of all door components Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-taskRead and understand bill of materials Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skillsMust be able to lift up to 75+ lbs.Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square Required to stand for long periods of time May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers Ability to organize and maintain detailed recordsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-taskRead and understand bill of materials Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilitiesRegular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
