Job Description:

We are looking for a well rounded Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our rapidly growing team. Our organization prides itself on being a locally based, family owned organization with a long history in the Appleton area as well as a leader in the absorbent pad industry.Someone that is a hands-on problem solver who has both mechanical and electrical aptitude and background in a manufacturing setting would make a perfect fitStraight 12-hour shift (no swing!) on a 2/2/3 schedule. 6:00 AM-6:00 PM (only 1st shift available at the moment*)Wages are based on experience and range from $26-30/hour. Time & 1/2 over 40, double time after 48 hours!ResponsibilitiesConduct machine maintenance and repair, including identification of equipment failure root cause and enhancing machine functionality to extend manufacturing capabilitiesPerforms preventive maintenance inspections and service on machinesRecognize process/product-related issues and provide possible solutions to avoid rework and maximize productivityCoordinates with Machine operators and other mechanics to maintain maximum production flow and to avoid rejects/rework on the finished product.Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing and reinstalling them as necessary.Records and reports of damaged, worn, or broken partsIdentifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machinesPrepares reports documenting work performedMakes necessary modifications and implements test runs; confers with engineers regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as requiredModel a culture of safety by following all safety protocolsSupport the execution of manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards to build various quality productsFocus on continuous improvement using appropriate manufacturing metrics and targets. Identify and report problems and possible solutions regarding the efficiency and functionality of production assetsAssist electricians, when necessary, with the mechanical aspects of the jobUnderstand and comply with all lockout proceduresPerforms other related duties as assignedQualifications:1-3 years' experience in an electro-mechanical/maintenance role or 2+ years of related mechanical maintenance experienceExperience working with high speed manufacturing/converting equipment will be a HUGE plus!Associate degree in maintenance, electro-mechanical technology, manufacturing systems, or similar area is a plusStrong ability to troubleshoot/ diagnose problems and develop solutionsGood organizational & planning skills and strong attention to detailWorks well independently and with othersGood communication skillsAbility to lift 50 lbs. regularlyCompensation/Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance
