Job Description:

A company located in Juarez Mexico and in El paso, Texas is hiring a Design Engineering Supervisor familiar with steel joists and metal decking.General Responsibilities:§ Responsible for performance of Design team; and ensuring Designers receive appropriate training and performance feedback.§ Maintain, develop, and communicate design standards and practices where necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.§ Communicate regularly with Engineering Manager and other groups and personnel to ensure processes and workflow are aligned.§ Be familiar with internal joist/deck design programs to facilitate training, troubleshoot problems, and design projects when necessary.§ Familiarity with Steel Joist Institute and related OSHA requirements to ensure adequate designs are provided by Design team.Required skills:§ Must be willing and able to conduct regular performance reviews for Designers, discussing both positive feedback and opportunities for improvement.§ Must be very organized and able to manage time effectively.§ Fluent with MS Excel to assist with reporting, scheduling, and analyzing group performance and other metrics. MS Project is a plus.§ Must be willing and able to effectively schedule work for the Designers to meet Customer needs and project schedules.§ Proficient in English.
