MAU is hiring an Engineering Services Professional at our client, Milliken, in LaGrange, GA. Drawing on thousands of patents and a portfolio with applications across the textile, flooring, chemical, and healthcare business, the company harnesses a shared sense of integrity and excellence to positively impact the world for generations.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in related field; OR5+ years of Engineering Services experience, preferably in fabric finishing1 - 2+ years of electrical experience working in a manufacturing facilityGeneral Requirements:LeadershipCommunicationDecision makingProblem-solving/analysisFinancial managementBusiness acumenSupervisory responsibility/feedbackEssential Functions:Responsible for the troubleshooting function for mechanical and electrical downtimeHandle major equipment overhauls, plant safety projects, and infrastructure projects requiring internal laborEngage, advise, and develop the Valway Engineering Services associatesSchedule Valway maintenance in order to maintain process and material handling equipment in world class conditionReview any significant Valway downtime losses and take appropriate actions to respondEnsure appropriate spare part inventories are maintained to avoid significant downtime eventsTrack and document all associate performance for ES direct reports, including safety, quality, productivity, and attendanceControl labor costs through the management of non-straight time labor, including training pay, Gaines McArthur premium, and overtime for ES associatesEnsure that all ES equipment is maintained by competent associates who have been properly trainedMaintain the training records of all direct reportsEnsure that all equipment meets operating standardsEngage ES associates and technicians on a daily basis in a positive mannerAssist with the acquisition and/or the installation of new or existing equipment inside the Valway Complex within budgetEnsure the contractor safety program is being executed successfullyOversee utility functions and work to reduce utilities costOversee the supply cost centers and work to maintain and/or reduce supply costEnsure that Valway equipment is capable of meeting all environmental and regulatory permit requirementsWork with the ES Leader at Valway to assist in Plant Facilities maintenance and repair activitiesPerform other tasks as requiredSupervisory Responsibility:This position can supervise the following positions:Control Equipment TechniciansMAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
