Are you a master of the art of sushi creation, with a passion for innovation and excellence? We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Sushi Chef to join our team. This unique opportunity is to lead the Sushi department across all Experience Zuzu locations.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeCreate a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish (for example, salmon, tuna, unagi)Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimiSelect fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes (like avocado, mango and carrots)Add additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi and soy sauce, when appropriateManage food prep activities, like boiling ricePrepare exceptional meals according to standard recipes and venue specifications.Prepare, arrange, and plate dishes per the current menu.Adhere to culinary standards and regulations.Function as a supportive team member during their shift.Track, record and replenish inventory as needed and in accordance with established par levels.Adhere to all standard operating procedures and sequence of service standards.Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift.Comply with all safety and health procedures as well as company and departmental policies and procedures.Skills Needed To SucceedFine Dining experience requiredExperience with crafting Sushi cuisineProven ability to work as a team, stay organized, multi-task, and prioritizeUnderstand various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresFamiliar with industry best practicesServSafe Food Handlers Certificate requiredJob Type: Full-timeBenefitsDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceVision insurance
