Are you a skilled Tax Manager seeking a new opportunity? We are thrilled to be partnering with a rapidly expanding accounting/business management firm in New York on their search for a highly qualified Tax Manager to join their team. Our client is a well established firm with offices in New York, New Jersey, California and India. Candidate must demonstrate extensive working knowledge of accounting and tax preparation/review of all tax returns; individual, partnership, corporate, multistate, and trusts and estates. Who you are:You are an experienced Tax Manager with at least 7+ years of tax experience. You have multi-level tax experience. You have proven interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Responsibilities:Supervise and review the work of staff and senior accountants assigned to client engagements;Direct preparation/review of tax returns and other tax filings and monitor progress of engagements in relation to budgets and due dates;Assist with preparing tax returns and supporting workpapers (where applicable);Train and evaluate staff and senior accountants;Review engagements prior to submitting to partner for final review;Address client's questions on tax returns and make any necessary changes;Handle preparing tax notice correspondence for review by partner;Assist partner or principal with compiling client documents for IRS or state and local tax audits, sales tax audits or payroll tax audits;Serve as a liaison between partner, clients, and staff;Communicate with clients regularly during the year and address any tax issues raised in an efficient and effective manner.Requirements:7+ years of tax experience with a CPA firmB.A or B.S in Accounting, Finance or a Business-related field of studyCPA license or working toward completion of CPAKnowledge of federal and state tax regulationsProficient in preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporate, multistate, and trusts and estatesStrong computer skills with knowledge and skills in a wide variety of applicationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProficient with use of CCH Axcess and other tax-related software preferred
