Job Description:

Summary: The Virtual Design Construction Engineer will provide Building Information Modeling (BIM) administration/coordination and Virtual Design Construction (VDC) services to assigned projects and will help assist other departments with VDC needs. This position will be responsible for providing models and documents, VDC/BIM technical support, and coordinating 3D content modeled by others.Experience: 3-4 years' experience working in the construction field; 3-4 years' of BIM-related experienceEducation: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Science or commensurate experience in the construction industryCertifications: OSHA 30 TrainingPrimary Responsibilities:Provide models & documentation essential to complete VDC/BIM scope of workMaintain VDC/BIM standards & manage their implementationCreate 3D modeling content not provided & compile trade partner modelRun & manage clash detection efforts with project teams & trade partnersMaintain relationships with trade partners & project teamsRead & comprehend construction documents & apply to the VDC process.Assist project teams in pursuit efforts by creating 4D models for presentationsAssist field teams in reality capture processes such as drone, 360 photos, and laser scanningPerform QAQC checks on models to mitigate errors & omissionsAssist preconstruction team in model takeoffs & constructability reviewsWork with design teams during preconstruction phases to mitigate future issuesTrain field teams & other Pogue staff on VDC process and technologyResearch & develop new tools and processes for the construction project lifecycleRequired Skills/Expectations:Communication skills; both verbal and writtenPerform work accurately in a timely mannerProficiency in MS OfficeKnowledge of construction practicesKnowledge of MEP systemsAbility to understand drawings and specificationsAbility to kickoff and maintain BIM coordination efforts on projectsKnowledge of VDC/BIM technologies and processes and be able to apply them to projectsAbility to collaborate with different teams and organizations for project successKnowledge of VDC/BIM technology solutions including:Autodesk Construction CloudBIM 360Autodesk RevitAutodesk AutoCADAutodesk Navisworks ManageFuzor or SynchroBluebeamSketchup360 PhotosDronesLaser ScanningInternal and external customer service
