This well compensated hourly position is part of the Engineering Department. The incumbent will work rotating day/night 12-hr shifts, additional extended hours compensated may occasionally be available or required. Other duties may also be assigned. Provides support within the electrical maintenance group.Performs work on equipment requiring electrical and mechanical skills.Performs work on demand by answering radio calls inside the plant area to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.Works on a cross-departmental team of operators and technicians to support line waste, uptime and run rate.Strong communication with shift team/plant on status, troubleshooting steps, resolutions and follow up tasks required.Performs planned work on shift basis, prioritizing the work alongside other designated tasks and line calls.Identifies parts needed for electrical maintenance and repair projects and appropriately withdraws these parts from the parts room.Performs electrical repairs on various types of electrical equipment per SOP's/manuals/etc.Provides technical information concerning calibration, programming, and machine setup.Selects, installs, configures, and calibrates instruments and devices.Tests equipment for safety and efficiency.Designs new plant equipment or modifies existing equipment as directed.Programs new plant equipment or modifies existing programs as directed.Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.Trains operators on new systems and updates LOTO and SOP information.Safely transports parts and equipment between work projects in progress.Operates various shop equipment to install/program equipment.Uses electrical hand tools, voltage and amperage measuring and recording devices.Bends, hangs, and runs conduit where needed. Pulls electrical cable and wire in conduit. Transports and stacks conduit and electrical wire as needed.Prepares system layouts, drawings, and schematics.Performs electrical and controls layouts, updates and creates electrical drawings either on paper OR in AutoCAD (AutoCAD is not a requisite skill) Requirements · Minimum 4 years of professional experience with high school diploma or GED OR· Minimum of 2 years professional experience with an associate degree. Preferred Experience - Not required for application but will benefit consideration: · Experience with process control and troubleshooting.· Experience in manufacturing or web process handling or other processes that integrate multiple pieces of equipment.· Experience with various instrumentation devices such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, weight, speed, vision, etc.· NEC, and Electrical Distribution Knowledge and Experience
