Alma School Rd Chandler Arizona, 85286 Position Description:  Responsible for all day to day operations, manages and trains Barista Team Members, educates customers on the menu, makes recommendations based on customer preferences, up-sells special items and takes orders for Thrive Services Group Inc. ("Thrive"). Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Sets a positive tone and strong work ethic, leads by example. Trains and educates the team on company processes and policies. Communicates information and any changes to the team. Creates the Barista schedule, works with availability and shift preferences as much as possible. Holds the team accountable using the proper discipline protocol, as needed. Opens and closes the store. Counts and closes cash drawer after closing, bundles money in safe for deposit. Manages the cash for the store, maintains sufficient rolled coin and small bills in the safe. Keeps the store clean and presentable, modifies checklists as needed to maintain a clean environment, complies with health and safety regulations.  Keeps the team engaged and productive, checks for quality and thoroughness. Manages storage areas and puts away all deliveries when they arrive. Responsible for oversight of inventory and ordering. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions. Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, latte and cappuccino. Responsible for building customer relationships and guest recovery. Generates revenues by attracting new customers. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances. Promotes optimum team performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining Team Members. Achieves rotating departmental objectives for the Facilities, Beverage and Service departments, which may include: conducting inspections and/or interviews, forecasting sales and creating weekly schedules to support business, and waste management and food safety inspections. Performs other duties, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) : High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's preferred. 3+ years of coffee or food service management experience required. Prior coffee shop experience preferred. ServSafe Food Manager Certification required. Experience with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software. Must have strong leadership, time management, organizational and customer service skills. Must have knowledge of brewing methods and specialty drinks.
