The resource can be remote or can work onsite in Louisville, KY. This roles focus is Linux based operating systems.Duties and Responsibilities:Manages Security and Compliance activities for Server Equipment, thus ensuring the data and computing resources are secured and in stable conditionOwns and implements Knowledge Management Practices by creating, updating, and deprecating work instructions and Standard Operating ProceduresOwns escalations by clients, junior, and mid-level administrators and provides technical guidance as neededInterface with Technology Vendors to solve complex issuesParticipate in major incident calls and client meetings as a subject matter expertExtensive knowledge in server security baseline, advanced server troubleshooting and maintenance skillsAdvanced knowledge in Bash shell, MySQL, Postfix, IP tables, performs imaging of servers utilizing common imaging toolsPerforms patching, hardening, and automated deploymentsPrepare / maintain documentation and operations guidesPerform in-depth root cause analysis and develop a detailed action plan to implement related solutionsPerform as a Subject Matter Expert between organization and their clients by answering any technical questions on conference calls or email communicationsPossess advanced and proven troubleshooting skills in Linux based Operating Systems in large enterprise environmentsMust be familiar with Advanced Linux based service functionality and troubleshooting, and possess extensive familiarity and comfort with Linux Shell(bash) scripting, Python scripting, Satellite / Spacewalk management and deployment, and XML-RPCBe available for after-hours support and on-call rotations as neededSkills and Qualifications:Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise environmentMinimum 3+ years of experience fulfilling Server Administration and performing break / fix dutiesRHCE certification or equivalentHands on experience with: Linux LVM, OVM, KVM, RHEV, docker container / OpenShiftRedhat licensing / subscription awarenessNetwork based OS installation (kickstart) and management of Redhat Linux, cluster and satelliteOS upgrades and applying security updates (patching), Schedulers, Cron Jobs, Transaction loggingSecurity Hardening of the Operating SystemsNetwork Based File Sharing protocols (FTP / NFS / CIFS / SAMBA)File System management and User managementExperience in deploying, maintaining, and supporting Linux Server infrastructures and storage systems in an enterprise environmentResponsible for resolving all technical incidents escalated by the L2 teamMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate and explain technical subjectsAbility to conduct research into server issues and related components and locate information quickly and accuratelyAbility to multitask and prioritize work efficiently, while assessing risk and consequence of performed dutiesExperience engaging hardware vendors as needed to address software and hardware issuesAbility to work without direct supervision and complete tasks on timeUnderstanding of Virtual platform technologies such as VMWareFamiliarity with VMWare architecture and functionality is a plusFamiliarity with remote management console technologies and functionalityKnowledge of SAN / NAS, Clustering services and technologies are a plusFull COVID-19 vaccination may be required.We offer a comprehensive benefit package that you can elect into including but not limited to: Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental), 401k, Basic Life/AD&D, Supplemental Insurances Plans, Paid Time Off Plan, Paid Holiday, Paid Sick Leave plan, FSA/HSA Pre-Tax Benefits, Employee Discounts.W2 only, no Corp to Corp.
