CREDIT & COLLECTIONS CLERKABOUT THE COMPANY:CFS has partnered with a local food distribution company looking to add a Credit and Collections Clerk to their growing Accounting team!With consistent quality and customer service, the company was able to thrive and eventually became one of the most sought-after distributors for grocery stores and bodegasGreat leadership team!The Credit and Collection Coordinator is responsible for all tasks related to the collection of account receivables from customers who independently own and operate grocery stores and supermarkets throughout the northeast.OVERVIEW OF THE CREDIT & COLLECTIONS CLERK ROLE:You will have the opportunity to approve orders placed by salesperson and customers within specific credit terms before shipping - and thats just the beginning!Given you are an amazing communicator, and with strong supervisory support, you will have an opportunity to have daily interactions with various departments including, Sales, Customer Service, Transportation, Accounting and Finance, Warehouse Operations and others. Additional opportunities are;Credit & Collections Clerk responds to customer inquiries regarding statements or invoices and researches all discrepanciesDaily collections calls to ensure payments are received.Apply and post payments daily to the internal cash management system.Credit & Collections Clerk prepares customer files for credit approval.Resolve status of past due invoices and maintain detailed reports of receivables and collections activity.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CREDIT & COLLECTIONS CLERK ROLE:At least two years of Credit and Collections experience.Associates Degree Completion in Accounting/Business or related subjects is preferred.Highly organized, detail oriented with great communication skillsOur candidates must also be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.Prior experience within a retail/wholesale environment is a plus.#CBMAR2024 #cfstaffing #collections
