As an A/P Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and conducting thorough three-way matching.Responsibilities of the A/P Specialist :Full cycle accounts payable, including data entry of invoices, processing, coding, and verification.Three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.Collaborate with team to ensure that timely payments are made in order to avoid late charges and negative impact on discounts.Assist in month-end closing activities, including check runs and filing.Reconcile vendor statements on a monthly basisBe willing to contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounts payable function.Preferred qualifications of the A/P Specialist :Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist Must be able to correctly calculate discounts based on invoice terms.Strong eyes for details and accuracyAbility to manage a high volume of transactions.Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Exceptional customer service, communication, and organizational skills.Solid understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
