Full-service Consulting Engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Healthcare experience to join their Philadelphia, PA office.Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.The Senior Mechanical Engineer plans and conducts work requiring judgment regarding the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Successfully completes medium to large size engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements. Works closely with a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer for technical review and guidance.Responsibilities:Develop and evaluate system concepts and options to determine best design and engineering solution for each project based upon project scopeDevelop design drawings and specifications for building mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems constructionDetermine system types and engineer air distribution systems, chilled and heating water and steam systemsLead and coordinate with engineers, designers, AutoCAD technicians and clerical staffInterface with clients to discuss changes to designs and/or specificationsPerform systems analysis and prepare reports and studies as well as cost estimatesDirectly responsible for distribution of all approved drawings and specificationsCoordinate with other design team members including architect, and mechanical and structural engineers toensure mechanical systems are integrated with all tradesWork as a team member with construction team project manager, and fabrication and installation crewsAttend design team meetings as requiredWork with leadership to manage design manpower budget and update budget to reflect revisions or changes in scopeRepresent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with owners, architects, vendors, other design professionals and contractorsAssisting in the firm's human resource efforts through training and mentoring junior firm membersWork closely with marketing, leadership and business developmentPerform other duties as assignedSkills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited Mechanical engineering programMinimum 10+ years of experience as an engineer designing HVAC systemsStrong organizational, prioritization, decision making and analytical skillsPossess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasive and interpersonal skillsEffective business development skillsAbility to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environmentAbility to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilitiesProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Experienced in the use of AutoCad and RevitExperience with Deltek Vision or Project Resource Management software is desiredAbility to meet and exceed client expectationsRequired/Preferred Credentials:PE license is requiredLEED Certification is preferredCertifications on areas of expertise are preferredJob Classification and Scheduled work hours:Full Time Salaried Exempt Employee. Exempt employees are ineligible for Overtime Pay.
