Job Description:

We are seeking an organized and efficient Accounting Clerk, with an eye for detail and accuracy to join our team. This position is entry to mid-level with room for growth and learning.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide accounting and clerical support to the accounting departmentEnter and process accounts payableEnter cash receipts into database dailyType accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and recordsInvestigate and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepanciesCompile and provide reportssummaries on activity areasFunction in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable lawsMonitor accounting e-mail inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely mannerContribute to various projects as necessaryContinually acquire and integrate new job related knowledgeREQUIREMENTSProven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable ClerkProficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, databases and Law Firm accounting softwareHands-on experience with spreadsheets and reportsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to perform accurate and detailed record keepingData entry and word processing skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectivelyCapable of taking initiative while also being open to seeking guidance or clarification when necessaryCollaborative attitude to work efficiently within a teamThe salary range for the Accounting Clerk position is between $65,000 - $75,000.
