We support these efforts both through our network grantmaking as well as through our direct engagement weaving networks and mobilizing resources for the field. Together, network grantmaking and resource mobilization aim to catalyze and build philanthropic infrastructure that fills funding gaps and scales partner work around the world. Through our network grantmaking, we support field-led collective impact networks and regrantors, seed and strengthen infrastructure for philanthropic collaboration, and help embed collaborative practices across the ecosystem. In addition to our network grantmaking, GCF dedicates time and resources to lead ALFIE, an informal community of funders aligned in their efforts to encourage clean electricity globally. Together, we galvanize and align resources and aggregate knowledge to bring our collective response to the climate emergency to the scale of the challenge. Our resource mobilization work is highly collaborative, ecosystem-generous, and aims for ecosystem-wide knowledge sharing and funding. Through our grantmaking and network leadership, we aim to enable and catalyze collective impact approaches in climate philanthropy. About the Role This new role drives both network grantmaking and resource mobilization forward by providing administrative and logistics support, project management, and knowledge and contact management. This role will work across internal GCF teams as well as coordinate with external partners to help keep projects, events, and grants on-time and on-budget. About You To be successful in this role, the Senior Associate will be a self-starter who proactively spots issues and recommends solutions, and is adept at navigating complex calendars, processes, relationships, and partners. The role requires balancing initiatives and processes and prioritizing across competing interests and opportunities. This role requires discretion, confidentiality, strong communication, and good judgment. At times, they will be called upon to roll with the punches and provide rapid response support, all while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and process. Comfort with working on a highly collaborative, growing team, combined with a sense of humor is essential. They are a do-er, solutions-oriented coordinator, and strong communicator who can translate the "˜what' into recommending the "˜how." Specifically, this role requires Salesforce administrator experience, as they will be championing platform use and building and maintaining systems that manage contacts and knowledge effectively. We are also looking for exposure working on a grants management or administration team or similar experience managing pipeline and partner cycles. Responsibilities include Resource Mobilization and Grants.Resource MobilizationProject ManagementLogistics in support of Team Operations- 40%Project manage resource mobilization efforts including proactive tracking of complex timelines and tasks in Asana in close partnership with Executive Assistant (EA) and key stakeholders. Schedule meetingsconvenings across time zones and complex stakeholder calendars. Support meeting infrastructure including drafting agendas, summarizing content, leading on follow-ups and sharing information with others as needed Draft documents and briefs, as needed, coordinating across internal teams Track team contracts, budgets, and deliverables with consultants, as neededSupport on-site GCF logistics for external resource mobilization events, coordinating with manager, network leadership, and events & planning consultant to execute. Support internal team on tripsevents, including: 1.) inputting into trip briefs for CEO, Directors, Board, 2.) scoping logistics and creating travel budget estimates, 3.) collating event agendas and participant lists for look books & briefs, 4.) performing administrative tasks such as printing, photocopying, mailing, etc as needed in advance of eventsConduct desk research and special projects: ad hoc, in support of Associate DirectorKnowledge and Contact Management- 30%Salesforce Administrator (15-20% of time): You will be the Network team's Salesforce Administrator: owning backend updates, being point for consultant support, leading on support for users and ensuring adherence, and managing dashboards, data uploads, reports, and troubleshooting. You will lead on and own resource mobilization contact management and reports within Salesforce.Work with ITOps to ensure contact and knowledge sharing data policies and procedures are secure, understood, and adopted by the team.Support the timely delivery of resource mobilization materials to CEOkey stakeholdersEnsure fund mobilization trips and materials are debriefed and documented as part of knowledge management. Grants Administrative supportproject management 20%Scheduling lead for network grant related calls, meetings and convenings, drafting agendas and executing follow-ups like requests for information as requested Own pipeline management for prospective Network grantees: register ideas, help research potential grantees, and organize information to be inputted into Asana and GivingData, our grants management system.Project-manage the Network grants management cycle by tracking all grant requirements and liaising with leads to make sure all requirements and reports are completed by established deadlines. Aid in the development of quarterly Grant Dockets and annual impact reports by drafting Network's section outline and inputting known information. Cross-cutting pillar special projects - 10%Opportunistic special projects agreed upon by Sr. Associate and manager QualificationsBachelor's Degree3-5 years of relevant experience providing administrative andor project coordination and management support with increasing levels of complexity including: Managing individual relationships, trips, events, and receptionsEngaging with external partners and internal stakeholders on different teams to achieve results Scheduling complex meetings across time zones Working cross-culturally and with people from diverse backgrounds and languagesMinimum 3 years experience with Salesforce, strongly preferred in a administrator role Attention to detail; motivated by working through the little details to achieve larger outcomes; conducts regular maintenance work within systems. Experience with the grants cycle and grants management systems; working on or with a grants team; and with impact measurement and reporting. Self-starter able to work independently while identifying moments for effective collaboration. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to produce high-quality written materials and presentations.Speedy and adept at learning new tech programs and softwares; self-sufficient at acquiring new skills and applying those to support the team. Experience or willingness to learn Asana, GivingData, Google Drive, and Box. Creative, solutions-oriented do-er with proven ability to to come up with solutions, whether they are to implement systems or managing competing priorities. Exceptional organization and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet changing deadlines and requests, while strategically thinking fort with ambiguity and shifting environments, combined with a sense of humor. The Salary Band for this position is $79,000-85,000.
