On behalf of our client, who is a well-established, entrepreneurial, top tier real estate firm, we are hiring a VP, Asset Management. They are a privately held, developerownermanager of Class-A+ multifamily who has developed 40K+ units throughout the Southeast & Texas.Due to growth, they are creating a new position, VP, Asset Management. This person will be 1 of 1 on the asset management platform and will lead the strategic direction of all owned assets, new developments and dispositions while working hand in hand with the SVP of Capital Markets & CEO. This is a unique type of role that is integral to the growth of the firm. This position will allow the development team to focus solely on growth and development without the added responsibility of asset management.This person must reside in Atlanta or Charlotte and will work from home, travel as needed.Qualifications:5+ years in multifamily real estate asset managementBachelor's Degree in business, finance, real estate or related fieldAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, and push need-to-know information upstream as warrantedCapability of simultaneously handling multiple assignments and to direct and monitor the activities of others on a systematic basisUnderstanding of risk management and portfolio diversificationAbility to make presentations to senior management, investment committee, or clients. Strong quantitative skills demonstrated analytical ability, and business writing skillsProficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPointStrong quantitative skills and analytical abilitiesHighly effective communication and collaboration skillsRobust interpersonal skills and social intelligenceEssential Responsibilities:Provide general asset management and strategic direction for a portfolio of owned properties, new developments, and dispositionsOversee the budget process and preparation of the annual strategic plan for all current and new properties in the portfolioReview periodic property reports and track operating performance. Prepare regular updates summarizing results and respond to information requestsServe as the market expert for the owner. Understand general trends and individual property markets submarketsReview appraisals andor BOVs for factual accuracy and consistency with other similar propertiesWork with executive team on the selection of investments sales brokers for to be sold propertiesAssist and eventually lead the disposition of propertiesConduct analyses of various investment decisions - financing; holdsell, etc
